We are simply living the vows we made in the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny. We read the signs of the times’ and try to discern the Will of God for our time, and set about doing it.
We are also committed to freeing people from anything that enslaves them - ignorance, dis-ease, passions, confusion.
In this, we are following the example of our Foundress, Anne Marie Javouhey, a woman who was shaped in the fires of the French Revolution, who worked for the liberation of African slaves, the humane treatment of the mentally ill, and the spiritual formation of the people of her country and of the continents she travelled to ’do a little good’.
